RMUTL and Chiang Rai Rajabhat University Discuss Academic Collaboration and Joint Engineering Curriculum Development

On July 15, 2025, executives from Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL) led by:

  • Assoc. Prof. Wichet Thipprasert – Acting President
  • Asst. Prof. Dr. Anon Nam-in – Vice President for Academic Affairs, Research, and Academic Services
  • Asst. Prof. Dr. Chamaiporn Rattanacharoenchai – Director of the Office of Administration
  • Asst. Prof. Dr. Rattaphon Ketiyot – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Engineering

along with faculty members from the Faculty of Engineering, held a collaborative meeting with executives from Chiang Rai Rajabhat University (CRRU), led by:

  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phairoj Duangnakorn – Vice President
  • Dr. Kittisak Niwarat – Director of the Office of Academic Promotion and Registration
  • Asst. Prof. Dr. Charan Khonraeng – Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technology

and faculty members from the Faculty of Industrial Technology.

The meeting was held at the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Industrial Technology, CRRU, and focused on joint curriculum development and preparations for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on future academic cooperation.

The discussion emphasized the development of engineering programs at both the undergraduate (B.Eng.), postgraduate (M.Eng.), and short-course levels. The goal is to enhance graduate quality to align with industry demands. Both universities exchanged curriculum information, explored joint academic management strategies, shared human resources, and discussed implementation approaches that align with each institution’s mission—under national educational regulations and the Thailand Qualifications Framework (TQF).

This collaboration marks a significant step in strengthening academic cooperation toward systematic, efficient, and sustainable education—ultimately contributing to the production of high-quality graduates who meet the nation’s future workforce needs.
