On July 15, 2025, Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL) welcomed representatives from the Research and Innovation Division of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) for a visit to the university’s Clean Energy Research Unit and its laboratories for energy and environmental research.
The visit included an academic discussion focused on future collaboration aimed at promoting innovation in clean energy and sustainable environmental management.
The event took place from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Nopparat Meeting Room, located at the C2 Building, Research and Development Institute, RMUTL Doi Saket campus. The delegation was welcomed by:
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Noppaphat Prakit – Dean of the Faculty of Engineering
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Teerasak Somsak – Assistant Director for Research and Development
- Asst. Prof. Dr. Worajak Muangjai – Director of the Institute of Community Technology Transfer
The university presented an overview of its ongoing collaborative research with EGAT, particularly highlighting the project titled:
“Study on the Removal of Pollutants from Diesel Generators Using Algae-Based Biological Capture and Decomposition Techniques,”
led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Siraprapa Chainet and Mr. Kranchit Nguenkhamkhong, with support and joint implementation from EGAT.
